Nvidia Earnings Jump 50 Percent on Strong Sales, Margins

Nvidia Corp.’s fiscal fourth-quarter profit jumped a bigger-than-expected 50 percent as the chip maker reported stronger sales and wider profit margins.

But the company gave a weak revenue outlook for the fiscal first quarter. For the current quarter, the company projected revenue of around $940 million, below the recent $1.07 billion consensus estimate from analysts polled by Thomson Reuters.
