Qualcomm Settles Disclosure Suit With New York

Qualcomm Inc. has agreed to provide investors with additional information about how it spends money on political causes as part of an agreement reached with New York’s public pension fund.

The agreement brings an end to an unusual lawsuit brought last month by New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli on behalf of the New York State Common Retirement Fund. The lawsuit sought to force the wireless-technology company to disclose what it spends on political causes.
