Apple Offers iTunes Credits to Settle In-App Purchase Suit

Apple has settled a class action lawsuit that claimed its 2011-era in-app purchase policy failed to prevent children from racking up big fees on their parents’ accounts. Under the terms of the not yet finalized deal, Apple will offer eligible class members a $5 iTunes gift card, an account credit or, for claims over $30, a cash payment. Apple did not respond to a request for comment.
