Rovio Looks Beyond Angry Birds With The Croods, a Movie Tie-In Game
Continuing its effort to create hits beyond the Angry Birds, Rovio announced plans Friday for The Croods, a game tied to the DreamWorks Animation movie of the same name.
The game, which is slated to arrive March 14, is the latest collaboration with DreamWorks, as Rovio also did Angry Birds Rio — a tie-in with the movie “Rio.”
Last year, Rovio released Amazing Alex, its first big non-Angry Birds title since the avians took off. It flew to the top of the charts, like other Rovio titles, but quickly came back to earth.
