SEC Case Against Mark Cuban to Proceed

A federal judge in Dallas has denied a request by Dallas Mavericks owner and billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban to dismiss an insider-trading lawsuit.

Sidney Fitzwater, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Texas, declined to dismiss on summary judgment the Securities and Exchange Commission’s civil suit against Mr. Cuban. The SEC is entitled to present its case to a jury, Judge Fitzwater said in a written order Tuesday.

Mr. Cuban has denied wrongdoing.
