Desperately Seeking Turnaround: HTC Sales Drop Further in February
The sales plunge at Taiwanese phone maker HTC continued in February, as revenue fell a further 44 percent from a year ago.
Amid pressure from Samsung and others, HTC reported that its monthly sales were 11.37 billion Taiwan dollars ($383.7 million). That was also down 27 percent from January’s sales.
The company is banking on its latest flagship phone, the HTC One, to help stanch the hemorrhaging.
HTC showed off the phone last month, grabbing some headlines ahead of Mobile World Congress, and before Samsung introduces its Galaxy S 4.
Samsung is set to show its new Galaxy at a New York event on March 14.
