“Netflix for Dresses” Rent the Runway Raises $4.4 Million

Rent the Runway, a startup that lets customers rent dresses, has raised $4.4 million from American Express and Novel TMT Ventures. The funding is an add-on to a $20 million round the company closed last year. Rent the Runway has raised close to $55 million since 2009.
