BlackBerry 10 Is Ready to Ship, and Its Band Is Back Together
With BlackBerry ready to ship its Z10 in the U.S. later this week, the Canadian phone maker decided to bring the band back together.
Yep, that’s right. The same folks that torture-tained developers last year with that painful cover of REO Speedwagon’s “Keep on Loving You” are at it again.
This time, they’re throwing down a little ditty called “At Last.”
As with the last time, the band hits the notes, but it’s hard to seem cool with lyrics like “Your games and apps are in the storefront … A new platform built for you.”
There is some marketing in there, too, with the company noting that it has 70,000 apps for the BlackBerry 10 platform it introduced in January.
“To celebrate, we’re getting the (pretend) band back together, one more time. BlackBerry developers have been counting the days, and we received countless suggestions for the band’s final performance,” BlackBerry said in message accompanying the YouTube video. “So now, let the BlackBerry 10 journey begin … with one last little song.”
Without further ado, here’s the BlackBerry Band:
