Social Startup ShareThis Raises $23 Million

ShareThis, maker of social sharing buttons for websites, announced Wednesday that it raised $23 million in its series C funding round, led by Deutsche Telekom’s VC arm, T-Venture. Other participants in the round were Harbourton and Fifth Third Capital, as well as a number of existing investors, including Blue Chip Venture Company, DFJ and Illinois Ventures. ShareThis also announced the acquisition of Socialize, a small startup aimed at adding social features to mobile apps.
