A federal jury ruled that Cisco Systems Inc. should pay $70 million to XpertUniverse Inc. for fraud associated with a short-lived partnership between the companies.
The jury found the networking company guilty of “fraud by concealment” in its dealings with XpertUniverse. It also found that Cisco violated two of the smaller company’s patents, awarding additional damages to XpertUniverse of about $34,000.
