Hackers Hit Israel Over Palestinians

Hundreds of Israeli websites on Sunday came under attack from a group of pro-Palestinian hackers, who disrupted dozens of government and private websites in their stated attempt to “erase Israel from cyberspace.”

The “OpIsrael” attack, which was claimed on a website by activist hackers who said they were affiliated with the hacker group “Anonymous,” was the latest episode of the Middle East conflict moving from the battlefield to civilian computer networks in the public domain.
