Facebook’s Accounting Head, David Spillane, Resigning
Facebook reported middling first quarter earnings Wednesday and along with them an executive departure. David Spillane, the company’s chief accounting officer, will leave the company on May 10. The company offered no explanation for Spillane’s resignation, which was handed in on April 21. It would say only that he is to be replaced by Jas Athwal, who has served as Facebook’s revenue controller since joining the company in 2008.
