Panasonic Posts Another Full-Year Loss
Panasonic Corp. Friday posted net losses exceeding ¥750 billion ($7.4 billion) for the second straight year, dragged down by hefty restructuring charges aimed at fixing its ailing electronics business.
The red ink for the year ended March 31 brings the company’s losses for the past two bruising business years to about $15 billion. Like its Japanese rivals, Panasonic is reeling from a consumer electronics industry in rapid decline.
