Facebook to Move Into New Frank Gehry-Designed New York City Digs
Facebook is upgrading its New York City office space, signing a 10-year lease to relocate from its current 55,000-square-foot home to two floors of space at 770 Broadway totaling just under 100,000 square feet of real estate, the company announced Monday night. Famed architect Frank Gehry, who is already working on the company’s Menlo Park expansion, will oversee the design of Facebook’s new Manhattan digs. Among Facebook’s soon-to-be new neighbors is AOL, whose NYC operations are also headquartered at 770 Broadway. Crain’s New York Business first reported Facebook’s interest in the new office space two weeks ago.
