Facebook’s Asia Director Joins Spotify
Kaur joins Spotify as it gears up for a larger push into the Asia Pacific region, on the heels of Spotify’s April launch in eight new markets, including Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Spotify did not specify which Asian countries it plans to launch in.
Along with managing Spotify’s Asian growth, Kaur will also lead the region’s sales division.
She spent the last two and a half years as director of Asia at Facebook, where she managed the social giant’s expansion into Asia and dealt with regional sales. Previous to this, Kaur also spent time in managerial roles for the Asian and international ad divisions of Forbes, Time Inc., Singapore Press Holdings and Microsoft Advertising.
Kaur will be based in Spotify’s Singapore office.
