Time Warner Cable Proposes End to CBS Blackout
Time Warner Cable proposed an end to the three-day old blackout of CBS on the cable operator’s TV channel lineup, offering two possible solutions to resolve the stalemate.
In a letter to CBS Chief Executive Leslie Moonves, Time Warner Cable CEO Glenn Britt proposed an “immediate resumption” of CBS on Time Warner Cable’s service “with the new economics [Time Warner Cable] reluctantly agreed to during our negotiations,” which excludes digital rights for carrying CBS programming online.
