Kamcord Raises Another Million for Mobile Gamecasting
Mobile gamecasting service Kamcord has raised $1 million from two Chinese investors. It’s the second round of seed funding for the startup, which lets players of connected mobile games record and share videos of their playtime. In December 2012, Kamcord raised $1.5 million from a diverse group including Andreessen Horowitz, Google Ventures and Tencent. This time, Tencent is back for more, joined by Chinese incubation firm InnovationWorks. CEO Matt Zitzmann said one billion game videos have been recorded using Kamcord to date, and 122,000 of those videos have been shared by gamers via email, YouTube, Facebook and/or Twitter.
