Facebook’s Shaffer and Zandy to Depart

Facebook is losing two key employees: Justin Shaffer, a project manager who is helping to lead the company’s video ad product, and Ashley Zandy, a manager on its corporate communications team.

The departures, confirmed by Facebook, are the latest exits for the still rapidly-growing company, which has pushed to significantly increase its headcount this year.

According to one person with knowledge of the matter, Shaffer is not officially disclosing his next move but is leaving the video ad group on positive terms. Facebook’s video ad product, which has been run by Shaffer and product marketing director Jim Squires, has seen delays this year, to the frustration of some advertisers.
