On its company blog, Target said that, starting Sunday, customers can get unlimited talk and texting for $35 per month. For $50 per month, Brightspot offers unlimited data, with high-speed data use capped at 1GB per month. Also, for each six months of service, customers will get a $25 Target gift card.

“Target guests have been asking us for new mobile plan options to meet their changing needs, and Brightspot combines the flexibility of a pre-paid program with 4G data on one of the nation’s premier networks,” Target VP of Electronics John Butcher said in a statement.

Customers can choose from a range of basic phones and smartphones, or bring their own compatible device. Those with Target’s Red Card credit card can save five percent per month off each bill.

The move follows in the footsteps of Walmart, which has its Straight Talk brand.
