Social Network Path Sends 20 Percent of its Staff Walking
Path confirmed on Tuesday that it is cutting 13 employees, or roughly a fifth of its workforce.
“We’re realigning the company to support continued innovation,” a Path representative told AllThingsD. The representative said that the company is focusing on the design and engineering for Path 4, the next version of the service. “Business continues to stay healthy; we have 20 million members.”
The cuts were reported earlier in the day by Valleywag.
Last month, Path announced a deal with Deutsche Telekom, adding private sharing options as well as a subscription premium service offering early access to its paid sticker products.
