The North American Aerospace Defense Command has a cute 50-year-old Christmas tradition of helping kids track Santa Claus via phone and now online. In 2013, the centerpiece is a 3-D touch-enabled experience with apps for all different devices and a Claymation aesthetic.

Microsoft has been the corporate partner since last year, taking over from Google, and it has expanded the event into a bigger and better product promotion (this year, you can call to check on Santa with Skype!).

Santa’s journey begins Dec. 24, but until then, there are games, movies, music and reading material at the online North Pole.
