Videogame Association Seeks Attorneys’ Fees From California

Last month, videogame publishers celebrated the Supreme Court ruling┬áthat declared a California law banning the sale of violent videogames to minors unconstitutional. This week, the Entertainment Software Association is asking to be reimbursed $1.1 million in attorneys’ fees from the State of California. The ESA believes it should be compensated because the legislators knew the law was unconstitutional based on earlier court findings, but continued to pursue it anyway.
