Now this is pretty cool: Quora engineer Kevin Der has created a Steve Jobs tribute crossword puzzle that’s running in Friday’s New York Times.

Der explained the backstory in a Quora post. He said the puzzle was created in a frenzied dash in order to be released as soon as possible, with him writing the clues from the airport over flaky Wi-Fi and his iPhone.

Der, who was one of the first employees at Palo Alto-based Quora and was previously at Pixar and Facebook, is an accomplished crossword puzzle creator who holds the record for fewest black squares in a New York Times puzzle.
