Apple CEO Steve Jobs appeared on the D stage six times before he passed away last October, leaving behind a storied legacy that plenty of memorials have explored and summarized but few have truly managed to capture. Not an easy task, but certainly quite a bit simpler for those who knew him well. And at D10, we were lucky enough to have two of them.

During a wide-ranging discussion with Walt Mossberg today, Jobs’s longtime friends — Oracle CEO Larry Ellison and Ed Catmull, president and co-founder of Pixar Animation Studios and president of Walt Disney Animation Studio — discussed Jobs’s life and his impact:
