Aiming to boost adoption of its Chrome OS-based laptops, Google said on Thursday that the systems will soon be available at select retailers.

About 100 Best Buy stores in the U.S. and an unspecified number of Dixons retailers in the U.K. will carry the Chromebooks, which use Google’s cloud OS and are made by companies such as Samsung and Acer. Google had indicated that the devices would be coming to retail stores.

Chrome head Sundar Pichai said that Google continues to work with other hardware makers and Intel, and expects many more devices by the holidays.

The announcement came during Day 2 of the Google I/O developers conference.
