News ByteWindows Phone 8 devices from HTC and Samsung this summer. Both smartphones will have dual-core processors and rear- and front-facing cameras. They’ll also support Sprint’s 4G LTE network and be available with the carrier’s Everything Data plans, which include unlimited voice, text and data. More details will be announced closer to launch.
News ByteSamsung Galaxy Camera starting on Dec. 13 for $550. Like the AT&T version, the Android-based digital camera offers a 16-megapixel lens, 21X optical zoom and a 4.8-inch touchscreen. Users will be able to post photos to their social networks over Verizon’s 4G LTE network, but it does require a data plan. For a limited time, Verizon is allowing customers to add the device to a Shared Everything plan for $5 per month.
News ByteMotorola Droid Razr HD and Droid Razr Maxx HD will be available on Oct. 18 for $199.99 and $299.99, respectively, with a two-year contract. Introduced in early September, the Droid Razr HD features a 4.7-inch HD touchscreen, an eight-megapixel camera and a water-repellent nano-coating. The Razr Maxx HD offers many of the same features, but claims up to 32 hours of battery life with normal usage, and doubles the internal storage to 32 gigabytes. Both phones are LTE enabled and ship with Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
