ShareThis Replaces CEO for Ad Platform Push

ShareThis, creator of buttons for publishers (including this site) to facilitate sharing their Web content on social networks, has hired Kurt Abrahamson, former AdSense executive at Google and CEO of SocialMedia.com, to be its new CEO as it pushes forward its efforts to become an ad platform. Abrahamson replaces ShareThis founder Tim Schigel, who will stay on as chairman of the board.
