Ahead of Verizon iPhone, T-Mobile Announces Samsung Galaxy S 4G, Details G-Slate Honeycomb Tablet

Looking to stay visible amid the Verizon iPhone mania, T-Mobile is outlining plans for a new smartphone of its own–the Samsung Galaxy S 4G. The company is also offering more details on its planned Honeycomb tablet, the LG G-Slate.

In a summer of handset debuts that already includes the Palm Pre, Apple’s iPhone 3GS, and soon, Research in Motion’s BlackBerry Tour 9630, add one more: The myTouch 3G, T-Mobile’s second Google Android phone. The carrier officially introduced the device today and said customers can begin reserving it on July 8.
