IPad vs. Kindle. Who Wins?

Steve Jobs said Wednesday that while Amazon has gone a great job with the Kindle, Apple plans to “stand on their shoulders” with the iPad’s e-reader functionality. Bloggers quickly began speculating as to which device is better, with many pro-Kindle reviewers calling the reader less distracting, while the Apple camp cites the iPad’s multi-purpose nature as a selling point.

Not sure what Barnes & Noble has to say about the “Nook” that it didn’t discuss yesterday, when it unveiled its new e-reader. LotusLive iNotes: Like Gmail, but Without the Outages

As launch dates go, the timing could not be better. Less than a week after Google’s Gmail suffered its fourth service disruption this year, IBM announced a competing Web mail service intended to undercut it. Called LotusLive iNotes, it’s an email, calendaring, and contact management system aimed squarely at the enterprise space Google has been so diligently courting.
