Online scam artists are borrowing customer-acquisition and partnership strategies from legitimate marketers, a Cisco security executive says. In conjunction with the company’s midyear security report, Patrick Peterson, Cisco’s chief security researcher, said in a Webcast that the increasing sophistication of the cyber criminal is one of the biggest threats security experts face.
