Google+ Debuts iPad App

Google launched its iPad-optimized Google+ app in Apple’s App Store on Tuesday morning, joining the recently debuted Android app for tablets. Along with pinch-to-zoom and touch-enabled sharing, the most impressive feature includes the ability to host video chat Hangouts from your iPad, which you can then stream to your TV using Apple AirPlay. Also updated: iPhone users can now manage Google’s new Events feature from their iOS devices.

LivingSocial Adds Sports and Entertainment Tickets With AEG Partnership

LivingSocial has mostly built its business from scratch, developing its own discounted travel and adventures side businesses. But for tickets and events, the Washington, D.C., company decided to partner. Today, it’s announcing a deal with with AEG, which owns and operates many venues. A year ago, Groupon partnered with Live Nation’s Ticketmaster.com over a similar deal. Groupon also has a deal with Expedia for travel.

Twitter says users generated a peak of 4,064 tweets per second at the end of the game, eclipsing the old high for televised sports set during last year’s World Cup. But that’s not Twitter’s all-time record, which was set, oddly, in Japan last year on New Year’s Eve.
