Fitbit Joins the Wristband Club With Flex Activity + Sleep Tracker

Joining the fray of wearable fitness devices, Fitbit today introduced the Flex Wireless Activity + Sleep Wristband tracker. The company’s first wristband device features sensors that can keep track of the number of steps taken, calories burned and sleep activity. It also has LED indicators to track progress. Once the data is collected, the wristband can sync the info in real time via Bluetooth 4.0 technology to a compatible device. The Fitbit Flex costs $100 and will be available in spring, and comes in five different colors, including black, red and blue.
