Opbeat, a new platform to help developers manage operations across GitHub, Amazon Web Services, Heroku and others, has raised $2.7 million in Series A funding. In private beta, the company’s supporters include Balderton Capital and Instagram co-founder Mike Krieger, who famously kept the photo app speedy and available through its fast growth, and is making his first investment.
News Byteannounced Thursday that it will open-source Clutch.IO, the recently acquired code library that helps developers make, test and deploy iOS applications. Twitter acquired Clutch two months ago; open-sourcing the code allows others to continue to use Clutch after Twitter shuts down the service on Nov. 1.
