			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Google (GOOG) has been hit with a class-action copyright infringement lawsuit in federal court in New York City by a number of photography trade groups concerning Google’s “illegal scanning of millions of books and other publications containing copyrighted images and displaying them to the public without regard to the rights of the visual creators.”</p>
<p>The parties filing the suit include the American Society of Media Photographers, the Graphic Artists Guild, the Picture Archive Council of America, the North American Nature Photography Association, Professional Photographers of America, and a number of individual photographers and illustrators.</p>
