Viral Video: "Gulliver's Travels" (Sorry, James Cameron, but It's in 3-D)

Hollywood director James Cameron–whose “Avatar” began the explosion of 3-D in movies–has been complaining about too many substandard movies being made using the technology. But this film, “Gulliver’s Travels,” starring Jack Black, looks like it will be terrific in 3-D and is chock-full of special effects too.

Here’s a historic first you won’t be seeing today: Coverage of a federal trial via YouTube. The Supreme Court has put a halt, at least temporarily, on plans let Google’s video site stream coverage of the “Proposition 8″ trial, which kicked off today in a San Francisco courtroom.

"Prop 8–The Musical": Another Viral Video Hit?

Though just posted on the Funny or Die comedy Web site, a new online video spoof on California’s Proposition 8 has already garnered almost one million views. The video has a star-studded cast, all singing Marc Shaiman’s “Prop 8–The Musical,” including Jack Black (as, um, Jesus), Neil Patrick Harris, John C. Reilly, Margaret Cho, Allison Janney and others.

I dare you not to laugh at this video from Ellen DeGeneres’s show, which was put up several months ago, but is suddenly enjoying a lot of popularity on the Web. The video speaks for itself, but it has DeGeneres trying out a thing called a Hawaii chair.
