That seems to be the word from Sun (JAVA), which this afternoon dismissed speculation that <a href="http://www.businessweek.com/the_thread/techbeat/archives/2009/04/the_return_of_s.html">McNealy will replace CEO Jonathan Schwartz</a> in the aftermath of the deal&#8217;s collapse. &#8220;As a policy Sun does not comment on rumors or speculation,&#8221; the company said in a terse statement. &#8220;What we can say is that Sun is committed to its leadership team, growth strategy and building value for its shareholders.&#8221;</p>
<p>Whether that is a true vote of confidence remains to be seen. Certainly, Yahoo (YHOO) made similar remarks about Jerry Yang during its ill-starred negotiations with Microsoft (MSFT), and we all know how that worked out for him&#8230;</p>
