News ByteInside Facebook, Facebook provides its partner cafes with free routers, and customers check in to the business on Facebook in order to access the Internet. The service is being tested inside Philz Coffee in San Francisco, according to Hunter Walk, as well as a handful of Palo Alto cafes.
News ByteTrueLens announced Monday that it closed a $1.2 million round of funding led by Google Ventures. Other participants in the round include Charles River Ventures, Common Angels, 500 Startups and Boston Seed, as well as a handful of other angel investors.
