MTV: Just Ignore That Nice New Video Site We Rolled Out Yesterday

The folks at MTV.com explain what they’re up to with MTV Music, the nifty video archive site they quietly rolled out yesterday. Odd explanation: They really haven’t rolled out the site. And they don’t ever really plan to do so.

Hulu for videos? No, but MTV’s new site is a nice, convenient place to watch music clips. But it’s nice to see it now, regardless: Clean interface, embeddable videos, social networky without actually trying to be a social network. It’s just too bad we didn’t get to look at it until 2008.
