Twitter Confirms Music Startup Acquisition

Twitter on Thursday acknowledged that it had acquired We Are Hunted, a startup aimed at tracking the most popular songs on the social network at a given time. As we wrote previously, the team has been working on a yet-to-debut standalone Twitter Music app, which helps Twitter users find the most popular music recommendations across the company’s 200-million-user network. CNET first reported the acquisition news.
