TrialPay Bulks Up Its Executive Team, Opens Office in Berlin

TrialPay plans to announce today that it is opening a European office in Berlin and adding three new executives to its management team. Managing Director of Europe Rob Schneider, formerly of Zanox, will head up the new office, while Jim Gerber, formerly of Google, will join the company’s offices in Mountain View, Calif., where he will be SVP of sales and partnerships. Lastly, Chris Davis, former SVP of Gaia Interactive, will become VP of Brand Sales. TrialPay helps online companies boost revenues by placing offers at the point of checkout.

Amazon to Deliver Daily Deals Via Kindle Screen Saver

Owners of Amazon’s advertising-subsidized Kindle with Special Offers models will soon be getting even more special offers when the company starts sending AmazonLocal daily deals to the e-reader’s screen saver during idle moments. The offers will begin in New York City and spread from there (and with any luck, the targeting will improve).

Google Launches Offers in San Francisco and New York

After seeing some early success in the daily deals space in Portland, Ore., Google has rolled out Google Offers in three additional markets. This morning it launched in two San Francisco markets — The City and the East Bay — and New York City. In San Francisco, it was offering $4 off at Bob’s Donut & Pastry Shop. Google’s Offers business is a precursor to rolling out mobile payments.
