Nokia: Most of Apple Product Line Infringes Our Patents

Oh, it’s really on now. Nokia today upped the ante in its ongoing patent dispute with Apple, filing a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission in which it claims that Apple infringes its patents “in virtually all of its mobile phones, portable music players and computers.”

TiVo Off; Appeals Court Stays Ruling Vs. EchoStar, DISH

TiVo shares this morning are heading lower after the company said the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has granted a request by EchoStar to stay a contempt order imposed by a lower court pending the outcome of EchoStar’s appeal in the the patent dispute between the two companies.

Qualcomm To Pay Broadcom $891M In Patent Settlement

Qualcomm announced that it will pay Broadcom $891 million over a four-year period to settle their long-standing patent dispute. The deal settles all existing litigation between the companies. Each receives certain rights to the patent portfolios of the other company.
