Early Supplies of iPad Accessories Dwindling?

Good news for iPad peripheral peddlers: High demand for some Apple-designed accessories for the device appears to have exhausted early supplies. Originally offered with a ship date of April 3, official iPad cases purchased today, for example, won’t ship until mid-April. A case of first-come, first-served, I suppose.

The rumors were true. At an invitation-only media event in New York City this morning, Sirius XM debuted the first-ever radio dock for the iPhone and iPod touch. Dubbed SkyDock, the $119.99 peripheral transforms Apple handsets into full-fledged satellite radios. And it gives users access to all XM and “Best of SIRIUS” channels–even Howard Stern.

Nintendo really should have cut its losses yesterday and cancelled its E3 press conference after Microsoft’s Project Natal demo. How could it possibly have trumped Redmond’s controllerless game control system? Certainly not with a blood pressure monitor.

If there was an over-arching theme for this last week on All Things D, it would have to be musical chairs. Brand new MySpace CEO Owen Van Natta started things off Monday with his first day on the job. He was joined by new COO and former AOL exec Mike Jones and new chief product officer and former Sling Media exec Jason Hirschhorn.
