New for Xbox Kinect: Bombastic Ballmer’s $2 Billion Blowout

Kinect, Microsoft’s new controllerless controller for the Xbox 360 is shaping up to be a monster hit, one that should give the gaming platform momentum enough to carry it forward for some time to come. In fact, Caris & Co. analyst Sandeep Aggarwal says he expects Kinect to generate about $2 billion in gross revenue for Microsoft.

Google: Dollar Rally to Drag on Q3 Results

Google’s third-quarter results will feel the effects of a strengthening dollar, Collins Stewart analyst Sandeep Aggarwal observed in a research note this morning. Aggarwal points out that currency has lifted earnings in each of the last 10 quarters, but that the company will suffer a sequential foreign exchange loss in Q3, with the year-over-year benefit “materially lower” than in recent quarters.
