Signs of a Pinterest API: Snapguide Adds Mobile Sharing Buttons

The mobile how-to guide app Snapguide today released an integration in collaboration with Pinterest that’s similar to Facebook’s single-sign-on experience — where someone who is using the Snapguide iOS app and also has the Pinterest app installed will see “Pin” buttons to share directly from within Snapguide. Developers are eagerly awaiting a full Pinterest API.

Web 2.0 Expo: Digg Says Sharing Is Caring

According to Bob Buch, vice president of business development at Digg, sharing is caring. Or at least it is when it comes to being a successful Web publisher. In a Wednesday presentation at the Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco, he advised content providers to harness the power of social-networking sites and use “share” buttons (such as Digg’s, of course) to optimize Web traffic.
