Red Robot Labs Opens U.K. Office Through Acquisition of Supermono

Red Robot Labs, a mobile game company that weaves real-world locations into its game play, has added a second location of its own. The Palo Alto, Calif.-based company, which recently raised $8.5 million in funding, said it will open a new office in the U.K. as part of its acquisition of Supermono. The British mobile game company will remain an independent subsidiary. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ValueClick Beefs Up Mobile Offerings With Greystripe Acquisition

Online marketing services outfit ValueClick announced today it will acquire mobile advertising network Greystripe for $70 million in cash. Greystripe’s proprietary advertising platform serves rich-media impressions to touch-driven devices through more than 3,500 apps and mobile Web sites across all the major mobile platforms. ValueClick said it will operate the company as a wholly owned subsidiary.

Intel Locks Up McAfee

Intel announced today that its $7.7 billion acquisition of McAfee, announced in August, is now complete. McAfee will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary and continue to sell security products and services under its own brand. Meanwhile, the companies are working on “a fundamentally new approach [to security] involving software, hardware and services,” the first fruits of which should be ripe later this year.
