Amazon Opens U.K. Grocery Site

Amazon.com has launched a U.K.-based grocery Web site, Reuters reports. Apparently, the online grocery biz is booming in the U.K. market, with projected sales of $10.9 billion by 2014.

As incongruous as it might seem, Apple’s iPhone is headed to the shelves of Tesco, the U.K. supermarket chain. The retailer will begin selling Apple’s super-smartphone “shortly” through its Tesco Phone Shops and online via Tesco Direct.
