Flavors.me Maker Raising $2.6M; Launches Goodsie

HiiDef, the company that makes glossy homepage creator Flavors.me, will soon close a $2.6 million seed round, according to CEO Jonathan Marcus.

Marcus mentioned the funding news in telling NetworkEffect about the launch of Goodsie, a HiiDef product that helps upstart retailers sell products online.

HiiDef investors include Dave Morin of Path, David Tisch of TechStars, Vimeo founder Jake Lodwick, Joey Levin of Mindspark, John Foley of Barnes & Noble, Albert Azout of Sociocast, Imran Kahn of Credit Suisse and NextView Ventures.

Goodsie has been in beta for six months, and already has users such as BoomCase, Cool Hunting, Zara Terez, MilkMade Ice Cream and Skrillex.

Both Flavors.me and Goodsie are paid products (though Flavors.me has a free version). Goodsie costs $15 per month and includes design tools, analytics and payment integration. Marcus said HiiDef’s two offerings will be increasingly integrated and will add more social features.

Flavors.me competitor About.me was bought by AOL last year.
