More Details on Rovio’s Valentine’s Day Treat: Angry Birds on Facebook

Here are a few more details on Angry Birds for Facebook, which is arriving next Tuesday.

While the game is basically the standard fare of flinging birds into bricks, there are a few twists.

Since Facebook is a social network, the game will feature the ability to compete with friends and brag about one’s score. In addition, those feeling generous can send “power-ups,” including several new ones, to their friends.

The new power-ups include a periscope, an improved slingshot, bird-growing seeds and an earthquake maker.

The birds have been landing just about everywhere of late. There are already versions for Windows, Mac, Chrome and Google+, not to mention just about every mobile platform out there.

To celebrate the arrival on Facebook, Rovio is planning an event on the social network itself, as well as local events in Jakarta, Bangkok and Mumbai — key Facebook markets all.
