Room 77 Acquires CheckMate and Appoints Drew Patterson CEO

Shortly after raising $30 million from investors including Expedia, hotel search site Room 77 today said it had hired Drew Patterson, co-founder of Jetsetter and an early employee at Kayak, as CEO. Patterson had been advising a stealth hospitality startup called CheckMate, which Room 77 is acquiring.
