Kik Raises $19.5M for Mobile Messaging Platform
While global mobile messaging app leader WhatsApp told us last week at D: Dive Into Mobile that it had no plans to build a broader platform, competitor Kik Interactive is betting all its chips on becoming a platform. And the company just got some more chips — $19.5 million in Series B funding led by Foundation Capital.
